So here's where I am...

Welcome welcome welcome to my strictly poker blog. Not sure what I'm going to use this blog for...my writing styles pretty bad and my poker play is pretty average. Who knows, forcing myself to keep this updated may improve my play.

Why not start with a short poker bio:
I started playing in 2003: the same time everyone else in the US started playing because of the Moneymaker boom. My first of many deposits was to pokerroom.com for the .25/.50 limit tables. I failed to advance far from those limits seeing as I am now a multitabler on FTP under the alias danielburke at 50NL. I am not a professional player.

Satisficing - decision-making strategy which attempts to meet criteria for adequacy, rather than identify an op

timal solution.

The title of this blog is pretty straightforward. An individuals goal in poker is to make the best play possible - The most +++++EV play. Its hard though, seeing as the mind searches for patters, and patterns are easily implemented once identified. Setmining, check calling, cbetting...session by session, I find myself falling into these mindless patterns. I do not want to continue in this way. I want to play optimally. But, is it a waste of resources to do such a thing at this level?

Just finished a 3k hand session at 50NL. Had a good run which made up for my ridiculous tilt session last night. Almos t at 0BB/100 now! Woo!

Here is where I am starting out.

and just for fun...my desktop (YES, i cascade...)
